For the 2010 season, in partnership with Paul and Jill Mills, we are opening a New Base at Ballachulish on the edge of Loch Leven where two additions to out fleet the Beneteau 411 “Aurora” and "Ruby”, a Bavaria 36 will be based. By prior arrangement, charters of these yachts can start from Croabh.

Located adjacent to our new base in Ballachulish, is the Isles of Glen Coe Hotel, with its fantastic Health Spa and award winning restaurant, and clients on our Ladies cruises starting from Ballachulish will get acquainted over dinner here on the first night of their cruise.

Paul and Jill Mills, your hosts at Ballachulish and, on some occasions, at Croabh, have many years of Yachting experience on the West Coast.  They have a young family who are both in the RYA West of Scotland Dinghy Squad.  Paul is an RYA Yachtmaster and RYA Senior Dinghy Instructor.  In the early 90’s, Paul ran his own RYA sailing School from Onich and is currently a highly qualified Mountain Leader, Ski-instructor and Canoe Instructor.

Jill compliments Paul's experience as an RYA Dinghy Instructor, and is Commodore of the Glen Coe Boat Club.  In her spare time she also runs the local community sailing project. 

It is clear that the synergies between The Mills and Tom & Cameron, the owners of Portway, and their families are going to be a tremendous benefit to Portway Yacht Charters and our customers.  We all agree that the additions will make the company stronger for the future.  Evidence of this is the introduction of “Portway Ladies” an initiative being championed by Jill and her friend Debbie Williams.
