Elan 333

This pretty boat, built by Elan yachts, is a capable and quick cruiser with comfortable accommodation and an easily handled rig. 

On Deck

The deck layout, which owes a lot to the yachts racing pedigree, has all halliards and lines led back to the cockpit and good winches to control the sails.  A windlass is provided to assist with raising the anchor and a good sized spray hood protects the crew.  The headsail roller furls and the main has slab reefing. An outboard motor is provided for the inflatable dinghy.

 Below Decks

The yacht has not been heavily used so that the interior is in good condition. 

The double cabin aft lies to port with the toilet compartment to starboard which has a shower and a wet hanging area.  Two persons may sleep in the saloon and another two in the forecabin. 

The galley cooker, which is new, has two burners and oven.  Warm air heating makes the yacht more comfortable in spring and autumn and will dry the accommodation after a wet sail. 

The well equipped chart table area to starboard has an electronic chart plotter with Admiralty and Imray charts and sailing directions for the cruising area. 

The 30 hp diesel pushes the yacht along at a little more than 6 knots.
