Dufour Classic 30

The Dufour Classic 30 is the smallest yacht in our fleet. She is nevertheless laid out and licensed to carry 6 persons, although more comfortable with 4. Like the other Dufours in the range, she is of modest freeboard and possesses reasonable overhangs, which, combined with a fairly low coach roof, gives her a graceful and efficient appearance.

The rig is mast head with a roller jib having only a small overlap and a slab reefing mainsail, which together allow her to be very easily sailed by 2. She is ideal for a couple or parents and 2 children.

The internal arrangements are open plan with no separate forecabin, but there is a double cabin aft and large heads compartment. The galley is to port with 2 burner stove/cooker, fridge and sink and the chart table to starboard. The pressurised water system supplies hot and cold water to the galley and heads and, for your comport, there is hot air heating.

The engine is a 18hp Volvo Penta saildrive giving about 6 knots under power. The cockpit is simple with tiller steering.

This is a delightful small yacht which sails easily and well and is justifiably popular with charterers.
