Bavaria 36

Another dependable yacht from Bavaria.  Few yachts of this size have the standard of finish and comfort of accommodation that we find in the Bavaria 36. 

On Deck

The rig is modern and easily handled with a roller jib and slab reefing main lowering into a zip top bag with lazy jacks.  An electric anchor windlass is installed.  An outboard motor is carried for the inflatable dinghy and a spray hood over the companionway provides shelter when needed for the crew.

 Below Decks

The saloon is well appointed with seating round the table for six, the galley with cooker and fridge to port and the chart table to starboard.  The heads compartment with shower is forward to port.  The yacht will sleep eight but is more comfortable with 4 to 6 berths occupied.  For comfort on cold or wet days the cabin has warm air heating.

For navigation an electronic chart plotter is carried with GPS and the usual wind, water and depth instruments.  Admiralty charts are provided with sailing directions and an Almanac. For communication the yacht carries a fixed and a portable VHF.

The Volvo Penta engine will give between 6 and 7 Knots.
